Rabbi Dovid Kviat was born in Bialystock, Poland. He is one of the
outstanding scholars of the Mir Yeshiva in Europe. During World War II
he fled with the Yeshiva to Shangghai. After the war he settled in the
United States and became a Rosh Mesivta in the Mir Yeshiav, Brooklyn.
Rabbi Kviat is the prolific author of the acclaimed multi-volume commentary,
the Succas Dovid. This work, an incisive analysis of sugiyos
spanning the entire Talmud has earned him worldwide renown. It is studied
and debated in yeshivos the world over.
Succas Dovid is not only a commentary on the oral-law. Nine
volumes are dedicated to the Five Books of Moses - the Pentateuch.
