  1. Eternal Values

    Eternal Values

    $21.00

From the teachings and advice of our sages, works of Chasidut and insights of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

Living a meaningful moral and inspired life of Torah principles.

Every day of life we are all involved in four relationships: With G-d, with ourselves, with others and with the world around us.

These four relationships comprise the arena in which we act out our lives.

Each of these requires wisdom, guidance and insight that will help us navigate these relationships in a truthful, refined and successful manner.

Within the Torah, there are teachings relevant to every one of these relationships. The wisdom of the Torah expresses itself not only in the laws of how to keep the mitzvot, but also encompasses timeless G-dly values that are expressed in the laws of personal conduct, proper character, and correct outlook - values to which every Jew should aspire. These are the vital ingredients for success in all of the four relationships.

Eternal Values is a compilation of these values - a guide how to behave, how to view life, people, and situations.

All are drawn from the Talmud, the works of Maimonides, the Shulchan Aruch, and works of Chasidut, as enlightened by the unique insights of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson. Learn More

Pearls of Hashkafah, Building an emotional and intellectual relationship with G-d

    $21.95

How do we connect to God?

It seems almost simple, straightforward, but we all know that it’s not. Force of habit pulls us down, preventing us from achieving the greatness we were meant to attain. Yet it’s possible to shake off the lethargy and recommit to a life of G-dliness. This book will show us how.

Pearls of Hashkafah by Rabbi Yosef Gabay is a book of powerful, hard-hitting essays that will open our eyes to many basic Torah concepts, reminding us who we are as a people and how much our Creator awaits our return. Analyzing such topics as the power of prayer, hashgachah pratit, the meaning of true wealth, kibbud av va’eim, the significance of life’s trials, and the many miracles we witness daily, as well as the history of our nation in exile, Rabbi Gabay presents us with a clarity and a lucid approach to life as a Jew in the modern era.

Drawing on the Talmud, the Zohar, the Midrash, and numerous other sources from our gedolim from throughout the generations, Pearls of Hashkafah is a tool in the arsenal of every thinking Jew.

“Rabbi Gabay has presented the fundamentals of Jewish faith and Torah hashkafah in a clear and engaging manner. Undoubtedly, many will benefit from the content of this book.”

The Thirteen Principles of Faith - A Chassidic Viewpoint

    $21.00

A knowledgable proponent of the Lubavitch movement, a Chasidic sect that embodies many of the mystical aspects of Judaism, Gurary has written an extensive interpretation of Judaism. He uses the framework of Maimonides's famed "thirteen principles" to attach basic Lubavitch concepts; though Maimonides, the 13th-century philosopher, considered himself a rationalist and would undoubtedly be amused by Gurary's efforts. Empowerment! Become The Person You Want To Be

Dave was lost in the forest. He simply didn't know how to read the map. The trees all looked alike to him and no matter how many times he tried finding his way out, he just ended up back in the same spot - having walked in circles. He was terrified of having to spend the night in the forest.

Suddenly, to his great relief, another hiker came along. This person showed him how to read the map and which markers to look out for. The hiker moved on but this little bit of help made all the difference. He now knew what to look for and how to follow the trail. Before long, he found himself out of the forest.

Hashem has placed us in the forest of life. Sometimes, we get lost. We forget how to read the map. This fascinating book was designed to do just that. This incredible book helps each of us lead the life we really want to lead. Empowerment is…empowering!

    Approbations:

"I … have been duly impressed by the author's dedication to highlighting a genuine Torah approach to many of the questions asked by people today. In down-to-earth and simple language, the author makes it clear how Torah and its commentaries … Ultimately, the greatest compliment one can pay a Torah thinker is by saying that they have truly said nothing new. The author's insights in this book, while presented in an original and creative manner, are not new at all. So while the book contains a plethora of contemporary anecdotes, references, and scenarios that will put the modern era at ease, the basic ideas being expressed are timeless."

  7. The New Normal

    The New Normal

    $21.00

As the daughter of a Rebbe, the wife of a Rebbe, and a respected teacher of Torah herself, Rebbetzin Feige Twerski has been inspiring and uplifting Jewish women around the world for decades – and transmitting the eternal and Divine truths of our ancient tradition.

In this fascinating and unique book, she tackles what is perhaps our greatest challenge: the new world, and the “new normal.”

It isn’t only technology that has changed: with remarkable speed, the world’s values have radically changed. What was considered absolutely wrong only a generation ago is now…. glorified. How do we combat these destructive outside influences? How do we remain positive – and strong?

In this inspiring and practical book, Rebbetzin Twerksi shows us the way.

“My very inspired and talented Rebbetzin began writing articles that resonated with women across the world and thus attained global recognition. She was invited to speak all over America and Europe, and her articles morphed into two popular books published by ArtScroll’s Mesorah division. Predictably, I was now being introduced as … Rebbetzin Feige’s husband… But… no one need feel sorry for me. The reason for that is that the Twerski family mantra, from the cradle onward, was, “Work hard at being the very best ‘you’ who you can be, because that’s all that matters. Hashem does not mark on the curve.” We were raised on the story of our illustrious forbearer, Reb Zisha of Anapolie, zt”l, who told his chassidim that he was not afraid if, after his earthly sojourn, Hashem would ask him, “Zisha, why weren’t you as great as Moshe Rabbeinu, or Rabbi Akiva, or the Baal Shem Tov?” He felt confident that he could defend himself adequately against those questions. Reb Zisha said that what he feared most was Hashem saying to him, “Zisha, why weren’t you Zisha?” …

At the core of my Rebbetzin’s work is the conviction that every individual, regardless of gender, has an inner integrity that is holy, pure, capable, and effective, and that is accessible in every avenue of life to enable us to enjoy life to the fullest. Her conclusion in this regard is that this end can only be attained by our determination to be ourselves. I encourage everyone who peruses this very wise, down-to-earth, practical, and insightful collection … to deeply breathe in that which it has to offer. It will, beyond a doubt, enrich your life and the lives of your loved ones in ways that will enable you to cope effectively with the contemporary challenges of The New Normal.”

From the Introduction by Rav Michel Twerski, shlita

Rebbetzin Feige Twerski is the mother of eleven children and many grandchildren whose number she refuses to divulge. Alongside her husband, Rabbi Michel Twerski, shlita, she serves as Rebbetzin to her community in Milwaukee and counsels people all over the globe. The Rebbetzin is a popular lecturer, speaking on a wide variety of topics to audiences in America and overseas. She is the author of Ask Rebbetzin Feige and Rebbetzin Feige Responds (both published by Artscroll). Learn More

  8. Edges of Truth, Perspectives on Life - Based on the Writings of the Sfas Emes

Edges of Truth, Perspectives on Life - Based on the Writings of the Sfas Emes

    $21.00

Rav Moshe Chaim Luzzatto, the Ramchal, was among our nation's greatest thinkers and kabbalists. Yet, as great as he was, he felt duty bound to write Mesillas Yesharim, a (relatively) simple work that stresses the basic character requirements needed for improving one's Divine service. Why? While all principles of Torah are very important, that which helps us change and brings us closer to what G-d wants of us, is most important.

Similarly, although the Sfas Emes al HaTorah is famously full of novel ideas, Kabbalah, and enlightening interpretations, its main objective is not simply intellectual. The ideas are meant to help us acquire the traits necessary to make one's service to Hashem complete and whole. Therefore, everyday issues such as bitachon, praying, Torah study, Grace after Meals, reward and punishment, exile and redemption, and more are addressed - and explained with appealing, deeper dimensions of understanding.

Those who learn the Sfas Emes can't help but be spellbound by the magnificent ideas of its author, Rav Yehuda Aryeh Leib Alter, the second Gerrer Rebbe.

With Edges of Truth, we can integrate these amazing concepts into our daily lives. Learn More
