The Werner children's aunt was supposed to be waiting for them at the railway station in London, and she was supposed to bring them home to her house. But something went wrong along the way, and no one was waiting for the four children who travelled on their own from Nazi Germany to the safety of London.
 
The lives of thousands of Jewish children were saved through the Kindertransport operation which brought them to safety in England in the months before the outbreak of the Second World War. 
Two brothers and two sisters find themselves alone and confused at the railway station, yet little did they know what the future held in store for them. In a show of feigned kindness, Arnold and Jennifer, a pair of dishonest siblings, become the children's foster parents. They manage to successfully hide their true intentions from the authorities. The children display great courage and faith as they try to escape from their difficult circumstances.  Along the way they find a lost Jewish child in even more difficult straits, and they become his protector.

Will they manage to find their way out of their difficult situation?  How will Heinrich, the lost boy, use his acrobatic talents to help everyone? And which new developments will bring along even more complications?
