  1. Lights. Camera. Action!

Based on the Chafetz Chaim’s sefer Shem Olam, this groundbreaking work uses the process of a major film production to illustrate how the physical universe is a grand mashal, an analogy, to understand the Olam HaEmes, the True World. A script, special effects, actors, editing, and a soundtrack are all parts of this virtual reality that is our world — a film running for six thousand years.

In Behind the Scenes, readers’ eyes are opened to the plan of Creation and every individual’s unique role in it, as seen through the lens of Chazal.

Behind the magnificent illusion of our world, a glimpse of the perfection of the Director can be perceived. Enjoy the Show.

“I am certain that many people will gain a new understanding of life and the purpose of living. Your book will give the reader a fresh grasp of what life is about and their connection to Hashem Yisbarach.”

    Harav Shmuel Kamenetsky, shlita

  3. Diagnosed with a painful muscular disease when he was nine years old, Ralph Mahana realized from a young age that he had a choice to make: fall into self-pity and depression, or live a full and happy life, focusing on his blessings and on the many benefits that yissurim, suffering, brings to a person.

In this small – but very, very big – book, Ralph shares those benefits with us. How yissurim are a confirmation of G-d’s love for us. How increased effort means increased reward, in this world and the next. How suffering helps build our place in Olam Haba, the World to Come.

Ralph has sought out many great Torah personalities, both in America and Israel, and he shares the wisdom they have taught him and the inspiration they’ve given him, as well as effective tools for coping with painful challenges.

This is not a story of sickness and sadness. It is a testament to the power of emunah and bitachon, and to the power of an individual Jew – of all of us – to rise above challenges. Learn More

  4. In Oros HaTeshuvah (Chapter 3), Rav Kook, zt”l, describes the healing powers of teshuvah: “A Light of acceptance begins to shine. His eyes are filled with a holy fire, his heart is entirely immersed in streams of delight. Holiness and purity hover above him. Infinite love fills his entire being.” It is the light of acceptance that shines from every page of this marvelous and practical manual of return.

Giving structure to the chaotic terrain of the soul/body relationship, this work offers hope to the hopeless and power to the powerless. To tame the body, to recover its essential foundation hidden under layers of shame and despair, our author leads us down a path of soft healing and irreducible hope.

    Rav Joey Rosenfeld

Some books are good reads, some books are enlightening, some books are eye-opening, some books inspire, while some books cause us to reach deep down and cleanse our inner selves. Acceptance is all of the above.

    Rav Aryeh Cohen

By reading and internalizing the words of this book, one will become a better version of themselves, find healing and growth, and ultimately live a life that is forward thinking and meaningful.

  7. “The Path to Happiness: A Jewish Chassidic Perspective is for everyone — because in deeply cynical times such as these, everyone needs inspiration, everyone needs values to live by. Faith by itself is a great thing, but it must become a force in our everyday lives. But how? That is what makes this book so useful: it gives you specific advice, specific techniques, and perspectives to help you become the person you must become if you are to find true peace and real joy. Using wonderful stories to illustrate his points, Rabbi Scheiner introduces us to a wide range of characters... Today’s world offers endless distractions — material comforts and pleasures — that somehow lead to despair. Rabbi Scheiner explains why this is so and offers us a way out of ‘the trap,’ regardless of our circumstances. I give this book five stars! It’s not on my ‘must read’ list but on my ‘must read again and again’ list — and it will be on yours, too.”

Daniel Meyerson, Ellis Fellow at Columbia University

  9. Original man was comprised of holiness and spirituality, but when Adam sinned, he introduced physicality to the mix. Man would never be the same; the complete state of purity in which man had existed was sullied, and there would always be a struggle between good and evil, spiritual and physical.

The act of teshuvah enables us to return to our desired state. Teshuvah enables us to rid ourselves of the taint of sin and allows us to fully reconnect with our soul and Maker.

We expend much effort to study and understand the process of teshuvah. Rabbi Rapps’s work is profound and deeply meaningful, especially during the period leading up to Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Every English-speaking God-fearing person will find their life tangibly enhanced as they read and study this sefer, written by a preeminent scholar and expert in the realm of Jewish thought as expounded by the Maharal, the Ramchal, Rav Tzadok Hakohen, and the Sefas Emes. Our mutual rebbi, Rabbi Moshe Shapiro, spoke highly of Rabbi Rapps and accepted responsibility for him and his writings as he encouraged me to publish his columns in the Yated.

May this work inspire and motivate its readers to perform proper teshuvah and help prepare the world for the ultimate redemption.

    Rabbi Pinchos Lipschutz
